A purchase is missing

Open the grown-up area from the bookshelf, answer the grown-up question and choose Restore purchases. Make sure the device is signed in with the same Apple Account that made the purchase. An internet connection is needed to check the App Store.

Family Sharing

Every book, including the all-five-books purchase, supports Family Sharing. When the family organizer has Purchase Sharing turned on, family members get the books on their own devices. It can take a moment to appear; Restore purchases refreshes it.

Ask to Buy

If Ask to Buy is on, a purchase waits until the family organizer approves it. The store screen shows that approval is pending, and the book opens by itself once approved.

What is free

The first story in every book is free and complete: painting, animation, sound and replay. Each of the five books is a one-time purchase, or all five can be bought together in one purchase. There is no subscription, and future books are sold separately.

Refunds

Purchases are handled by Apple. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

Returning to a painting

On the bookshelf, the water action continues the newest available unfinished painting. You can also open its book and choose the page with a bookmark. Each page remembers its own latest painting; a finished page shows a personal cover. Opening another story does not clear the previous one. These records stay on this device, with no account or cloud sync.

When a story ends

Wait for the story to settle. The small picture with an arrow opens the next available page; the books button returns to the shelf. Nothing advances automatically, and your child can keep playing on the finished page. Some pages have small repeatable actions that leave the painting in place.

Painting again

Press and briefly hold the circular arrow to start the current page again. A quick tap shows how to hold it, without clearing the painting. With VoiceOver or Switch Control, activate the button instead. Restarting clears only this page. On completed Garden Care and Bus Stop pages, the hold offers Rain and Sunset looks; choosing one starts a new painting, while closing the choice keeps the current one.

Play time and locked stories

Open Grown-ups on the bookshelf and answer the grown-up check. Parental controls opens with Play time and Hide locked stories. Choose no limit, 10, 20 or 30 minutes of active play. An unfinished page gets up to 3 extra minutes before the book rests; a grown-up check is required to play again. This limits play in Water Magic, not other apps or total daily device time. Sound and painting assistance

The grown-up area has separate controls for spoken words, story narration, optional music and sound balance. Easy painting makes the brush larger. Accessible painting adds a Wash next area button, and is always enabled with VoiceOver or Switch Control. Gentle hints and an optional play-time limit are also available. The app follows the silent switch and Reduce Motion.

A painting postcard

Open A postcard from our painting in the grown-up area. Prepare the postcard, then choose Save or share and a destination. Nothing is shared until you choose. Saving to Photos asks permission to add the image; the app does not read your photo library.

Tips for little hands

• Painting works with one or two fingers; the brush is deliberately large.
• There are no scores or time pressure on a page.
• Use Guided Access (Settings › Accessibility) to keep a child inside the app.

Requirements

iPhone and iPad with iOS 16 or later. Landscape only. Painting and play work offline after download; purchases and purchase restoration require an App Store connection.
