A painting preview for your browser. In the app, stories add movement, gentle sounds and little choices. Preview paintings reset when you change pages.
Begin with the pond
Try After the Rain beside this guide. Brush across the pale page with a finger or mouse: the pond gains colour, and the frog, duck and hedgehog appear where you paint. There is no colour palette to choose and no outline to stay inside. The browser preview lets you try this painting gesture; movement, gentle sounds and spoken stories belong to the app.
Let a discovery become a story
In the app, painting an object lets it join the page's short story. A garden needs water; a bus has somewhere to go. Children can use one or two fingers, with a broad brush for small hands. The grown-up area offers a larger brush, gentle hints and accessible painting when more help is useful. No score grades the result.
Finish without being hurried away
When the story settles, the page offers a small picture of the next available story and a books button. Your child can continue, return to the shelf or stay with the finished painting. Some pages have little repeatable actions: a butterfly can choose another flower, for example. Those actions keep the painting in place; they do not start the whole story again.
Come back to their page
The app keeps each page's latest painting and story progress on this device. An unfinished page has a bookmark; a finished page can show their painting on its cover. Opening another page keeps the earlier ones. A deliberate press and hold on replay starts only the current page again. These are local records: there is no account or cloud sync, and deleting the app removes them.
